A New Teen Dramedy in Development at Peacock Titled HOW TO SURVIVE IN INGLEWOOD

NBC’s streaming service Peacock is developing a new teen comedy-drama series titled How To Survive Inglewood. The show comes from Real Husbands of Hollywood creator Chris Spencer and Grown-ish writer Chad Sanders.

Spencer and Sanders, who recently wrote the Universal Pictures sports drama One and Done, are writing the series and will executive produce alongside Morgan Freeman and Lori McCreary.

The story for the show follows “Black teenagers trying to get through the absurd, treacherous, and embarrassing obstacles that come with adolescence. After moving from the suburbs to Inglewood, the Sanders family will find that teenage years are universally magical, confusing, scary, and hormonal, but in this new environment, the emotional swings are crazier because the stakes are higher.”

This sounds like it could be an entertaining show to watch. What do you think about the concept?
