A New UFO Series About Roswell Is in Development at TNT with the Creative Team Behind PROJECT BLUE BOOK

A new UFO series about Roswell is being developed for TNT by the create team behind History Channel’s Project Blue Book. That includes creator and executive producer David O’Leary and showrunner and executive producer Sean Jablonski.

I really liked Project Blue Book! The story chronicled the US Air Forces’s real-life investigations into supposed UFO encounters and unexplained phenomena. Unfortunately, the show was cancelled. Regardless, this new Roswell show sounds promising.

The series will follow multiple timelines, “in the vein of Oliver Stone’s JFK” and it “explores the famous ‘Roswell Incident’ — the U.S. government’s alleged cover-up of a crashed alien spacecraft in New Mexico in 1947—and the after effects seen decades later.”

This subject matter has been covered a lot in TV and film. One of my favorite past projects was Steven Spielberg’s Taken. That series took more of a fantastical approach to the story. This one will be more grounded in reality with what actually happened. It’ll be interesting to see how it turns out.

What are your thoughts on a new series that will focus on the mysterious events at Roswell?
