A ONE PUNCH MAN Movie is in Development at Sony Pictures with The Writers of VENOM

One Punch Man is one hell of a fun anime series to watch! If you’re a fan, you will be interested to know that Sony Pictures is developing a live-action film adaptation of the manga series and they have hired Venom writers Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner to work on the script.

Avi Arad and Ari Arad of Arad Productions are producing the film. They have produced all of the Spider-Man projects set up at the studio over the years.

It’s going to be really interesting to see what One Punch Man will look like as a live-action film. There’s so much potential for it to be amazingly epic! But, it could also just as easily end up being a huge disappointment depending on the creative talent that is brought in to bring it to life.

I would love nothing more than for this movie to turn out great! If you’re not familiar with One Paunch Man, it follows the story of Saitama, a superhero who can defeat any opponent with a single punch but seeks to find a worthy opponent after growing bored by a lack of challenges in his fight against evil.

It was created in 2009 by Japanese artist ONE as a web-comic and from there it just exploded! If you haven’t watched the anime, it’s something that is worthy of your time.

According to Variety, this film project Sony is very high on the property given its popularity and the opportunity to build a film franchise with it. What do you think about One Punch Man getting a live-action adaptation!? Who would you like to see take on the role of Saitama?
