A Poster Artist Breaks Down the MCU Poster Designs

I really enjoy watching videos that go over the less talked about areas of filmmaking. For instance, I recently shared a video that emphasized the importance of a script supervisor because it was really cool.

Now I’ve come across a video from Vanity Fair where they brought a poster artist by the name of James Verdesoto in to talk about the posters for the MCU films. While most of the time he talks about how good the posters are, there is one that he doesn’t like, but I’ll keep that a surprise.

My main wish for this video is that I do wish that Verdesoto had talked more about why and how certain aspects work instead of going on so much with just a simple description of what is there. It’s still a fun video in my opinion though.

Which MCU poster is your favorite?

James Verdesoto, the movie poster artist behind iconic posters such as Pulp Fiction, Ocean's Eleven, Girl, Interrupted, and Training Day, explains every movie poster in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Take an in-depth look at the movie posters for Avengers: The Age of Ultron, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Thor: Ragnarok, Captain America: Civil War, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Incredible Hulk, and more Marvel movies.
