A Pregnant Woman is Held Against Her Will By Her Deceased Boyfriend’s Mother in Trailer For KINDRED
IFC Midnight has shared the first trailer for the upcoming psychological thriller titled Kindred and it looks like it tells a pretty messed up story.
The film follows vulnerable mother-to-be Charlotte as she is taken in by her recently deceased boyfriend’s mother, and her stepson, who seem increasingly obsessed with her every move. Plagued by mysterious hallucinations, Charlotte’s suspicions grow about Margaret and Thomas’ intentions for her unborn child.
The movie was directed by Joe Marcantonio who also wrote the script with Jason McColgan. The cast for the film includes break-out star Tamara Lawrance, Jack Lowden (Dunkirk, Fighting With My Family), Fiona Shaw (Killing Eve, Harry Potter franchise) and Edward Holcraft (Kingsman franchise, The Sense of an Ending).
It’s said that the cast further elevates the “expertly crafted atmosphere of this emotional thriller rippling with suspense.”
Kindred is set to open in select theaters, on digital platforms and video on demand on November 6th.
