A Retired Cop Investigates a Sinister Urban Legend in Trailer For THE EMPTY MAN Horror Film
20th Century Studios has released the first trailer for an upcoming supernatural horror film The Empty Man, which is an adaptation of Boom! Studios’ popular graphic novel series. The story revolves around a sinister urban legend entity that may be behind the disappearance of a group of teens. It looks like it might end up being a decent creepy movie worth watching.
The film stars James Badge Dale (The Departed), Marin Ireland (The Umbrella Academy), Stephen Root (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Get Out), Ron Canada (Star Trek), Robert Aramayo (Game of Thrones), Joel Courtney (Kissing Booth) and Sasha Frolov (Little Women).
The synopsis reads:
After a group of teens from a small Midwestern town begin to mysteriously disappear, the locals believe it is the work of an urban legend known as The Empty Man. As a retired cop investigates and struggles to make sense of the stories, he discovers a secretive group and their attempts to summon a horrific, mystical entity, and soon his life—and the lives of those close to him—are in grave danger.
The film adaptation of Cullen Bunn’s graphic novel series is being directed by David Prior from a script that he wrote. The movie is expected to hit theaters on October 23, 2020.
