A Screening of STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI Has Audio Problems and Fans Almost Riot in Theater Lobby

Imagine waiting for 2 years to finally watch the follow up to Star Wars: The Force Awakens only to have the showing you attend have technical issues. I'm sure you can understand the level of disappointment when an AMC theater in Burbank, California experienced that on the movie's opening night, and the results weren't pretty. During the showing the audio cut out for ten minutes, leading fans to freak out. A lot of their reaction was caught on video (below).

In the video, you can see fans rush into the lobby and demand for the theater to restart the movie from the beginning. And to their surprise and disappointment, the theater refused, resulting in a near riot situation in the AMC lobby.

It's not clear what exactly happened, but one thing that is very clear is that you don't get on the dark side of die-hard Star Wars fans. I'm sure the theater will enlist the help of Riot troopers for the next Star Wars premiere night.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is now theaters.

I was at the screening of The Last Jedi at the AMC Burbank, when the sound went out. It was madness. For licensing inquiries please contact licensing@defymedia.com
