A Security Guard Has a Hellish Night in Horror Comedy Short - DOWNSTAIRS
The first time I saw the horror comedy short Downstairs was this past summer when I was covering the FilmQuest Film Festival. I thought it was a lot of fun, and after doing a little digging around I found it online, so now you can watch it for yourself! It has a great security guard character who is put in a creepy and suspenseful situation when he goes to investigate something downstairs when he knows damn well he shouldn't. The movie has a perfect mix of humor and horror that kind of reminded me of Evil Dead. This is the brief synopsis that came with the short:

The movie was directed by Lee Boxleitner from a script he wrote with Sam Boxleitner. They are the sons of Tron star Bruce Boxleitner. It was voted one of the top five short films at ScreamFest 2014 by besthorrormovies.com. It was also the winner of Best Short Film at Dark Scream UK. I hope you all enjoy it!
