A Serial Killer Drone Terrorizes Newlyweds in First Amusing Trailer for THE DRONE
We’ve got a trailer to share with you today for a new comedic horror film called The Drone. The movie kind of has the same concept as Child’s Play, but instead of a killer doll, it’s a killer drone.
The story is built around a serial killer who “transfers his consciousness into a consumer drone right before he is killed.” After that, the drone flies off to “terrorize newlyweds Rachel (Alex Essoe) and Chris (John Brotherton). The couple must fight to stop the insidious device before it destroys them both.”
With the popularity of drones on the rise, it was only a matter of time before someone decided to make a horror film that involves them.
The film was written and directed by Jordan Rubin, who’s perhaps best known for helming the 2014 horror camp-fest Zombeavers. He’s also the producer of the horror films Unfriended and Searching.
The movie is set to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival later this month.
