A Series Adaptation of the Hit PlayStation Game HORIZON ZERO DAWN Is Being Developed for Netflix
Sony recently revealed that a series adaptation of the popular PlayStation video game Horizon Zero Dawn is being developed for Netflix. This is in addition to the previously announced God of War series being produced for Amazon, and a Gran Turismo series.
Horizon Zero Dawn follows Aloy, a brave young huntress in a primitive tribal world where strange, monstrous, animalistic machines roam the wilderness. She finds herself on a quest to learn the truth about her mysterious origin and the state the world is in.
There are no details on the series or if it will follow the story of the game or tell a story that expands on the game. I haven’t played Horizon Zero Dawn, but it looks like a great game. My friends who have played it have nothing but good things to say about it.
PlayStation has several other game adaptations in development including The Last of Us for HBO, the Twisted Metal TV series for Peacock has been making plenty of casting announcements of late. There is also a movie adaptation in the works for Ghost of Tsushima.
Hopefully Sony brings in a talented creative team to bring Horizon Zero Dawn to life.
