A Recap of Trailer and News From Ubisoft Forward - ASSASSIN'S CREED, AVATAR, PRINCE OF PERSIA, and More
Ubisoft recently held their Ubisoft Forward full of game trailers and announcements. I’ll do my best to cover the highlights, but if you feel like I missed something, be sure to let us know in the comment section below. In addition, you can head on over to the Ubisoft Store (affiliate link) to save up to 85% off select titles plus an additional 20% off your total cart using UBISOFT20 as part of the Forward Sale.
First, there was the announcement of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Set to release on December 7, fans will be able to become a Na’vi raised by the RDA set to explore an unfamiliar world to them. You can customize your Na’vi, wield specialized weapons, fight in aerial combat, and more. The game will be available to play on Amazon Luna, PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Something that really caught my eye from Ubisoft was the announcement of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. It’s like Ubisoft remembered that they have IP outside of Assassin’s Creed and Rainbow Six. Amazing! In The Lost Crown, players will assume the role of the warrior Sargon who has to rescue a kidnapped prince from Mount Qaf where mystery and monsters abound. Interesting enough, this will be a side-scrolling platformer, more in line with the original games. You can play The Lost Crown on January 18, 2024 on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4/5, and Xbox consoles.
The Crew Motorfest was shown off as a fun racing game on the island of O’ahu. There are a variety of campaigns for you to enjoy in the game centered around different car culture themes.
If you’ve been waiting for Skull and Bones, you’ll be stoked to hear that a closed beta will be occurring on August 25 for PC players. You can register now on the official website.
We’ll take a quick detour to the world of animation. Netflix and Ubisoft shared a first look at the new animated series Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix. The anime-inspired series will launch on Netflix this fall and is full of early ‘90s references.
The final things we’ll talk about are the myriad of Assassin’s Creed items. First, there’s a new VR experience called Assassin’s Creed Nexus which will let you embody three different characters: Ezio Auditore da Firenze, Kassandra, and Connor. This will be available exclusively on Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, and Meta Quest 3. Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade is a mobile game launching a public test later this summer and will take place in China between Odyssey and Origins. Finally, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is set to launch on PC, PS4/5, and Xbox consoles (affiliate link) on October 12. I’m personally really excited for this one.
If you wanted to hear about the gameplay footage for Star Wars: Outlaws, you’ll want to check out our article dedicated to that.
