A Teaser Trailer Has Been Released for Studio Ghibli's THE BOY AND THE HERON
The first teaser trailer has been released for Hayao Miyazaki’s final film for Studio Ghibli, The Boy and the Heron, previously titled How Do You Live? As you know, Studio Ghibli didn’t really want any kind of marketing for this movie, and we were initially told that a trailer wouldn’t be released.
With that being said, the teaser trailer you are about to watch doesn’t feature any footage from the film. It features some music along with details on the story that the film tells. You’ll see what I mean when you watch the trailer. But, at the end of the teaser, it says a first look teaser is coming on September 6th, so it looks like we will eventually get a proper trailer for the film.
The official synopsis for the movie reads: “Through encounters with his friends and uncle, the story follows a teenage boy’s psychological development. He enters a magical world with a talking grey heron after finding an abandoned tower in his new town.”
The movie features the voices of Soma Santoki, Masaki Suda (The Backwater), singer Aimyon, Yoshino Kimura (Confessions), Shōhei Hino (As Long as We Both Shall Live), Ko Shibasaki (47 Ronin), Takuya Kimura (Howl’s Moving Castle), and more.
