A TWILIGHT Fan Asked Robert Pattison Why He Stopped Acting After Playing Edward; He Responded "I'm Batman"

When you think of Robert Pattinson, it’s hard to avoid the iconic image of Edward Cullen, the brooding vampire from the Twilight saga. His portrayal won him millions of fans around the world.

However, nearly a decade after the last Twilight film hit theaters, Pattison’s career blossomed into a series of critically acclaimed roles that range from the unsettling drama of Good Times to The Lighthouse, and we can’t forget the film Remember Me, and, of course, Bruce Wayne in The Batman.

But even with these new, high-profile projects, some fans still associate him with his Twilight Persona, and one fan even thought he stopped acting altogether.

In an interview with The New York Times, Pattinson recalled an airport employee recently asking him, “Hey, you’re the guy from Twilight. Why’d you stop acting?”

“I was like … ‘I’m Batman?'” he recounted. “She just laughed.”

There’s humor in how a fan of Twilight didn’t really know what the cast was doing after they made the film in that one franchise.

By the time Pattinson was cast as Bruce Wayne in The Batman, the actor had established himself as an artist willing to push boundaries and take on unique projects.

We’ll next be able to see the actor in director Bong Joon Ho’s Mickey 17.
