Ben Kingsley Befriends an Alien in Delightful Trailer for the Sc-Fi Dramedy JULES

Bleecker Street has a delightful trailer for a new sci-fi dramedy film titled Jules. The movie stars Ben Kingsley as a lonely man who befriends an alien after his spacecraft crash lands in his backyard. The movie is described as "a funny, wildly inventive ride as the three neighbors find meaning and connection later in life - thanks to this unlikely stranger."

This is kind of like E.T. but instead of an alien connecting with a kid, it’s about an alien connecting with an elderly man. It actually looks like it tells a charming story!

Kingsley plays Milton, “who lives a quiet life of routine in a small western Pennsylvania town, but finds his day upended when a UFO and its extra-terrestrial passenger crash land in his backyard. Before long, Milton develops a close relationship with the extra-terrestrial he calls Jules. Things become even more complicated when his neighbors discover Jules and the government quickly closes in.”

The movie was directed by Marc Turtletaub (Gods Behaving Badly), and it also stars Harriet Sansom Harris, Zoe Winters, Jane Curtin, Donald Paul, Jeff Kim, and Jade Quon as Jules. Bleecker Street will release Jules in theaters on August 11th, 2023.
