A Young Boy Brutally Battles Santa in This Trailer For The Crazy 1990 R-Rated Holiday Film DIAL CODE SANTA CLAUS

Dial Code Santa Claus is a VHS-era cult comedy cult classic from France, and I’ve never heard of it until today. Now, after watching this trailer for an upcoming re-release of the film, it’s a movie that I have to see!

The original title of the movie is  36.15 code Père Noël and it was later retitled to Deadly Games for its international release. The movie made its debut in 1990 and it’s said that this is the movie that Home Alone ripped off. The movie has since only been available to watch on bootleg.

The story centers on a nerdy kid who is stuck at home on Christmas, and when Santa shows up and sneaks into the house, the kid brutally goes to war with him. The film is said to have "disturbed critics and the moviegoing public with its uncompromising look beneath the surface of the beloved holiday." Here’s the synopsis:

Thomas is a typical 1980s kid: he loves computers, role-playing games, and his dog. While mom is away at the office on Christmas Eve, Thomas and his grandfather are left home alone -- perfect timing for a disgruntled, perverted, bloodthirsty Santa Claus to raid the home down the chimney. But Hell hath no fury like a mulleted ten-year-old with an arsenal of toys! Made a year before Home Alone, the French-made Dial Code Santa Claus has almost the same plot -- only filled with more style, bloodshed, and Rambo references.

Alamo Drafthouse and AGFA will be re-releasing the film this month in December. For more info on the screenings, visit Drafthouse's official website. Watch the trailer and tell us what you think!

Have you seen this movie before? If so, is it as good as it looks!?

AGFA restored DIAL CODE SANTA CLAUS was made a year before HOME ALONE. But it is what happens when you take HOME ALONE, RAMBO, excessive blood and style and set the blender on maximum.
