ABC Renews Marvel's AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. For Season 7
I’ve got some great news for those of you who are still fans of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ABC has renewed the Marvel series for a seventh season!
Network executives must like the direction that the series is going in the upcoming Sixth season. It’s been about six month since Season 6 was announced.
Season 7 is a long way off so we can’t really speculate at this point where it might be headed. Hell, we don’t even really know what to expect from Season 6 yet! It’s not supposed to even air until summer of 2019. It will also only consist of 13 episodes. I imagine Season 7 will have the same amount of episodes.
I’m not a huge fan of this show but there are aspects of it that I enjoy and I’m curious to see how the story for these characters end up playing out. On an interesting note, Clark Gregg, who plays Agent Coulson in the series, is not listed to return for Season 7. Does this mean death will finally catch up with him?
The rest of the cast includes Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Chloe Bennet as Daisy Johnson, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons, Henry Simmons as Agent Alphonso “Mack” MacKenzie and Natalia Cordova-Buckley as Elena “Yo-Yo” Rodriguez.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was created by Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon, and Maurissa Tancharoen, and they will executive producer Season 7 along with Jeffrey Bell, Jeph Loeb, and Jim Chory.
ABC is also developing another Marvel project with Wonder Woman writer Allan Heinberg that will focus on female superheroes.
Are you excited to hear Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will have a seventh season? What do you think the future has in store for Agent Coulson?
