ABC Wants To Reboot LOST; Would You Be Interested in That?
Lost was one of those great shows that was a product of its time. I don’t care what anyone says, I loved Lost, I even liked that way that it ended. It was just such a fun show to watch and discuss with people. The mystery and magic behind the whole story was so fascinating!
Well, ABC would like to recapture that lightening in the bottle again with a Lost reboot. ABC President Karey Burke recently said that Lost “is a reboot I’d be interested in seeing” at the Television Critics Association.
Now, ABC is not developing a Lost series at the moment, this is just an idea, and idea that has yet to be run by Carlton Cuse or J.J. Abrams:
“It is literally at this point just what I dream about when I go to bed at night. I have not spoken to Carlton [Cuse] or J.J. [Abrams] or ABC Studios about it.”
“I do often get the question what show would I reboot and often my answer is Lost, sometimes Alias. Nothing to report yet, maybe ever but it would be a fun thing to have a conversation about.”
Personally, I wouldn’t be interested in a Lost reboot series, but maybe there are some fans out there that would. Maybe some fans would be interested in seeing a different conclusion to the story than the one we got. I just think a reboot would be pointless. The original Lost series came at the right time.
Original showrunners Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof have both said that they aren’t interested in revisiting Lost, but Cuse would support anyone else who tries to attempt it as long as none of the original characters were used in it.
What do you think about this? Would you like to see ABC reboot Lost, or do you think they should just leave it alone?
