According to the AVENGERS: ENDGAME Directors No One Has Predicted the Ending
With all of the fan theories floating around the internet regarding Avengers: Endgame and how the story is going to come to an end, you’d think that there’s maybe one theory that is right. Well, according to Joe and Anthony Russo, that isn’t the case. They say that there is no fan theory out there that has accurately predict the events of the upcoming film.
While talking to Jake Hamilton, the directors were asked about the fan theories and this is what they said:
"Here's the thing, the fans are so passionate and they spend such a long time living with these characters, thinking about these characters, and they're using their imaginations to follow where these stories could possibly go. Sometimes they're wildly off, sometimes they're kinda next door to what might happen. ... Here's the thing, nothing's ever that close. You can get kinda close, but it's never exactly."
So no one has cracked it. But even if someone has, I don’t think they’d admit it. They do admit that some fan theories are “kinda next door,” though! Joe Russo added that their goal is to do things with the story that will completely surprise people:
"Our mission's always to surprise people. So we try to make really surprising choices."
I like that no one has guessed how the movie will play out and bring The Infinity Saga to an end. The fact that they came up with a story so unique and different that no one has been able to guess it is pretty damn cool! It makes me all that much more excited to see how the story for this film is going to play out!
Avengers: Endgame hits theaters April 26th.
