Acer Reveals New SpatialLabs 3D Software, Gaming Laptops, and More at Global Press Conference
Acer recently held their Global Press Conference and unveiled a ton of new computers as well as a couple of other announcements. I’ve included the entire conference in a video below and will be sharing some of the highlights. First, Acer announced it’s joining RE100 and pledged to convert to 100% renewable energy use by 2035. In an effort to help face environmental challenges, they then announced their Earthion platform with the first product being the Aspire Vero. This computer will feature post-consumer recycled plastic, eco-friendly packaging, and more. Inside, you’ll find the latest 11th gen Intel Core processor with Intel Iris X graphics and up to 1 TB of M.2 SSD storage.
Acer also showed off the new SpatialLabs suite of experiences that will be avialbale on their ConceptD notebooks. SpatialLabs uses stereoscopic 3D to allow content to float off the screen to provide a new way of looking at items. This will help provide new angles and perspectives. I am not a creator and so I don’t know what exactly this will help with, but it sounds freaking awesome. It works by using a sterescopic 3D display, real-time rendering technology, and eye-tracking.
Speaking of the ConceptD notebooks, there are three lines, the 3, 5, and 7 Ezel. The ConceptD 3 (Ezel and Pro) will feature 14” screens, 11th gen Intel Core H-series CPUs, and up to NVIDIA T1200 GPUs. They’ll be available in December starting at $1,599.99. Meanwhile, the ConceptD 5 notebooks have 16” 3K QHD screens, the same CPUs, and up to an NVIDIA RTX A5000 GPU. They’ll be available in August starting at $1,999.99. Finally, the ConceptD 7 Ezel will have up to an Intel Xeon W-11955M with up to an RTX A5000 as well as Thunderbolt 4 ports. These will start their prices at $2,499.
If you’re looking for a new gaming laptop, There’s the new Predator Tritan 500 SE with an i9 and RTX 3080 with up to 64GB of RAM. You can squeeze up to 12 hours out of the battery with NVIDIA Advanced Optimus technology. The screen is a 16” 16:10 display and the machine will be avialable in June for as little as $1,749.99. There’s also the Predator Helios 500 with a 17.3” screen. The Predator Connect D5 5G dongle lets you use your computer as a 5G hotspot while accessing those same 5G speeds thanks to a USB 3.1 port. There’s also the new Predator Cestus 335 ergonomic gaming mouse with 10 prgrammable buttons, a PixArt 3370 sensor, a max DPI of 19,000, and more.
Other bit announcements included new gaming monitors up to 42.5”, gaming desktops with 11th gen i7 CPUs and RTX 30 GPUs, new Chromebooks including the first 17” models, TravelMate P6 laptops for professionals, and the Swift X laptop with AMD CPU and RTX 3050 Ti GPU.
