Action-Packed Clip From Netflix's FAST & FURIOUS: SPY RACERS Features a Boat Heist

Netflix has released the action-packed first clip from its new Fast and Furious animated series Fast & Furious: Spy Racers. The series centers on Dom Toretto’s juvenile cousin Tony and his friends as they are “recruited by a government agency to infiltrate an elite racing league serving as a front for a nefarious crime organization called SH1FT3R bent on world domination.” It’s explained that the Spy Racers will “try to live up to the Fast family legacy with more high octane racing action and incredible covert operations.”

This series is geared toward a much younger audience. It’s not something I’m personally interested in watching, but if you’re curious about the series, the clip below features two characters, Sashi and Layla, members of the crime organization SH1FT3R who attempt to steal a car stowed on a boat in the middle of the ocean. It’s a fun little heist scene. Check it out:

Tony will be voiced by Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf) and the rest of the cast includes Camille Ramsey (American Vandal) as Layla Gray, a notable underground racer who works for SH1FT3R; Luke Youngblood (Harry Potter) as Frostee Benson, a 13-year old tech genius; Charlet Chung (Overwatch) as Echo, a wildly talented artist and natural spy; and Jorge Diaz (Jane the Virgin) plays Cisco Renaldo, both the muscle and the sweetheart of the crew.

The co-stars in the series are Vin Diesel’s daughter Similce Diesel as Frostee’s younger sister Sissy; Manish Dayal (The Resident) as Shashi Dhar, the leader of the criminal organization SH1FT3R; American Vandal season one standout Jimmy Tatro as a local knucklehead named Mitch; and Renée Elise Goldsberry (Hamilton), who plays the team’s secret agent liaison, Ms. Nowhere.

Other characters will be voiced by Carlos Alazraqui (The Fairly OddParents), Eric Bauza (The Adventures of Puss in Boots), Grey Griffin (DC Super Hero Girls), Kevin Michael Richardson (Trolls: The Beat Goes On!), Fred Tatasciore (Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia), and Tru Valentino (Archibald’s Next Big Thing).

Tim Hedrick (DreamWorks Voltron Legendary Defender) and Bret Haaland (DreamWorks All Hail King Julien) are the series showrunners, and they are also executive producing alongside Vin DieselChris Morgan, and Neal Moritz, who have all been involved with developing the film franchise.
