Action Packed New Trailer for TOMB RAIDER: THE LEGEND OF LARA CROFT Season 2
Netflix has released a fresh trailer for the next season of the animated series Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, and it looks like things are about to get a whole lot wilder for Lara.
If you’re a fan of the first season of the series, there’s plenty here to get excited about. This new chapter continues expanding the world of the iconic adventurer with more globetrotting danger, mythology, and high stakes.
Season 2 dives straight into the aftermath of the Survivor Trilogy that began with 2013’s Tomb Raider, continued with 2015’s Rise of the Tomb Raider, and wrapped with 2018’s Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
The animated series builds on those stories as Lara steps fully into her legendary role. This time she races across the world to uncover ancient African relics before a tech titan with a god complex gets his hands on them and unleashes devastation on a global scale.
Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft has also brought back a strong voice cast. Hayley Atwell returns as Lara and Karen Fukuhara is back as Sam Nishimura. Season 2 adds even more talent including O T Fagbenle as Eshu, Allen Maldonado as Zip, and Earl Baylon returning as Jonah Maiava.
Netflix gave an overview of the series’ place in the franchise's timeline, explaining that it continues Lara’s globetrotting adventures after the events of the Survivor Trilogy.
The streamer describes the show as charting “the globetrotting heroine’s next chapter as she takes on the role of the iconic tomb raider that she is destined to become”. They also highlight Lara’s long and evolving legacy, saying “Twenty five years after her first game appeared, Lara Croft continues to explore new territory.”
This animated series is produced by Legendary Entertainment and animated by Powerhouse Animation, the studio behind Castlevania and Masters of the Universe Revelation. The series is executive produced and written by Tasha Huo, known for The Witcher Blood Origin and Red Sonja, who continues as showrunner.
Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft Season 2 arrives on Netflix on December 11th, 2025.
