Action-Packed Trailer For 007: FIRST LIGHT - Patrick Gibson Cast as James Bond

IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios dropped the first gameplay trailer for 007: First Light, and with it came the reveal that Patrick Gibson, best known for Dexter: Original Sin and The OA, will bring the legendary British spy to life through voice and motion capture.

007: First Light is being developed by IO Interactive in partnership with Amazon MGM Studios and Delphi. The studio is describing it as “a thrilling narrative action-adventure game” that dives into the early years of Bond.

According to the official synopsis, “Follow James Bond as a young, resourceful, and sometimes reckless recruit in MI6’s training program, and discover an origin story of the world’s most famous spy.”

Joining Gibson is an impressive supporting cast. Priyanga Burford voices M, Alastair Mackenzie takes on Q, Kiera Lester is Miss Moneypenny, Lennie James plays Bond’s mentor John Greenway, and Noemie Nakai steps into the role of Miss Roth.

Fans will have a couple of options when it comes to picking up the game. The standard edition, available digitally for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Store, is priced at $69.99.

A physical-only “Specialist” version will also be offered at the same price for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. For diehard Bond collectors, there’s a premium “Legacy” edition coming in at $299.99.

With Gibson stepping into the role and IO Interactive promising a bold, story-driven approach, 007: First Light looks like it could be a game-changer for the franchise. The game officially hits consoles and PC on March 27, 2026.
