A new trailer has been released for the action flick Copshop starring Gerard Butler and Frank Grillo. The film was made by Joe Carnahan (Smokin’ Aces, The A Team), who co-wrote with Kurt McLeod from a story by Mark Williams. The cast also includes Toby Huss, Alexis Louder, Ryan O'Nan, Keith Jardine, and Kaiwi Lyman.

Here’s the synopsis:

Screaming through the Nevada desert in a bullet-ridden Crown Vic, the wily con artist Teddy Murretto (Frank Grillo) hatches a desperate plan to hide out from lethal hitman Bob Viddick (Gerard Butler): He sucker-punches rookie officer Valerie Young (Alexis Louder) to get himself arrested and locked up in a small-town police station. But jail can't protect Murretto for long. Viddick soon schemes his own way into detention, biding his time in a nearby cell until he can finally complete his mission. When the arrival of a competing assassin (Toby Huss) ignites all-out mayhem, mounting threats force Viddick to get creative if he wants to finish the job and escape the explosive situation.

This looks like a fun action flick. Not the best thing I’ve seen Butler in, but a fun movie to watch. Copshop is set to hit theaters on September 17th. Check out the trailer below, and let us know what you think.
