Action-Packed Trailer For Crime Thriller Comedy NORMAL Starring Bob Odenkirk
A fun and action-packed trailer has been released for the crime dramedy Normal, starring Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul, Nobody) as a newcomer Sheriff to a small midwestern town.
He is joined in the cast by Lena Heady, Henry Winkler, Ryan Allen, Billy MacLellan, Brendan Fletcher, Reena Jolly, Peter Shinkoda, and Jess McLeod.
The movie is directed by Ben Wheatley (Rebecca, Doctor Who) from a screenplay co-written by Derek Kolstad, creator of John Wick and Nobody, and Bob Odenkirk.
The synopsis reads: “For Sheriff Ulysses (Bob Odenkirk), his provisional posting to the quaint Midwestern American town of Normal was meant to be a welcome respite from both his marital woes and recent moral injuries in the line of duty.
“But when a botched bank robbery interrupts the municipality’s tranquil pace, a sordid secret is inadvertently exposed and Ulysses learns the town is anything but its namesake.
“Suddenly everyone is trying to shoot the sheriff, even his own deputies, and our put-upon policeman must rely on his affable mettle and some motley crooks if he is to survive the night. (That's all before the Yakuza show up).”
This looks like a lot of fun. Bob Odenkirk has stepped into this action genre seamlessly, and he always brings a dry humor to his performances that is just a kick to watch.
Check out the trailer below, and watch Normal in select US theatres on April 17th.
