Action-Packed Trailer For John Woo's New Film MANHUNT
The first action-packed trailer for John Woo's new film Manhunt has been released and it looks like it's as John Woo as a John Woo action film can get. We haven't really seen a John Woo film in the states for awhile. That's because he's been keeping himself busy making big Chinese epics like Red Cliff and The Crossing. The last American movie that he made was Paycheck back in 2003.
Manhunt is also a Chinese film, but maybe we'll get to see it released in the states. The movie is a remake of the 1976 Japanese thriller Kimi yo Fundo no Kawa o Watare. The story follows a man who is framed for robbery and rape and he set out on a mission to clear his name.
The trailer itself is a little rough around the edges, but it's cool to see Woo making good old fashioned action movies again!
Manhunt will premiere at Venice and TIFF and hit Chinese theaters on February 16, 2018.
