Action-Packed Trailer For The Martial Arts Crime Thriller BEYOND REDEMPTION
Well Go USA just dropped a fresh new trailer for the official re-release of a wicked martial arts action flick titled Beyond Redemption. This film initially made its debut way back in 2015 and hit Canadian theaters in 2016, but now it’s finally getting a proper Blu-ray / VOD release in the US courtesy of Well Go USA.
Beyond Redemption is the only feature film that was directed by Bruce Fontaine, a true-blue martial arts expert and stuntman who has been working for years in Hong Kong. Most of the roles in this movie are played by other badass stuntmen, including Brian Ho, who stars in the film.
Ho plays an undercover cop named Billy Tong, “who infiltrates the inner circle of a powerful gang to prove his loyalty to its leader (Don Lew, stunts in Star Trek Beyond). Venturing more profoundly into Vancouver’s seedy underbelly, Billy must maintain his cover if he wants to crack a high-stakes case involving those with dangerous connections to the Triad—at the risk of losing his identity and his old life in the process.”
This is one of those movies that just seemed to get lost in the shuffle, but as a fan of martial arts films, I thought I’d bring it to your attention because it looks like it delivers some cool action-packed entertainment.
The rest of the cast includes Osric Chau, Eddy Ko, Nickolas Baric, Raymond Chan, and Peter Chao. The movie is currently available now to watch!
