Action Science Breaks Down FURIOUS 7's Hobbs vs. Shaw Fight
When I walked out of the theater after seeing Furious 7 for the first time, I was convinced that it was the best movie of the Fast & Furious franchise. Now that I've had more time to think about it, though, I'm torn between Furious 7 and Fast Five being at the top of my personal list. They both have their strengths, but one of the things that could potentially give Furious 7 an edge is that it includes an onscreen fight between Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's Agent Luke Hobbs and Jason Statham's Deckard Shaw.
Johnson's Seven Bucks Productions has launched a YouTube show called Action Science, and in this episode, the team breaks down the science of the movie's hand-to-hand fight sequence. It basically confirms that these guys would have to be superheroes to survive things like this, but it's still cool to hear legit statistics being incorporated into the mix.
