Actor Alan Rickman Passes Away at the Age of 69
Bad things happen in threes… First Lemmy, then Bowie, and now him. The legend, the professor, the Voice of God, the iconic Alan Rickman passed away at the age of 69 after suffering from cancer, his family has confirmed.
The British actor will “Always” be remembered for his role as Severus Snape in the Harry Potter movies, Hans Gruber in Die Hard, Metatron in Dogma, and others. During his splendid career, Rickman was awarded with a Golden Globe, Primetime Emmy, BAFTA Award, and SAG Award.
Generations of people and cinemagoers come to know him as the ultimate emotion-shaker and face-shifter. From a scary teacher at a School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, through romantically vulnerable ghost of a man, who tries to ease the grief of his wife, to Metatron.
Words are not enough to express the loss but at least the stars up in the sky are going to shine a bit brighter tonight.
