Actor and Comedian Gilbert Gottfried Has Passed Away at the Age of 67
Actor and comedian Gilbert Gottfried has passed away at the age of 67. He was best known for his roles in the films Beverly Hills Cop II, Problem Child, and Disney’s animated Aladdin, in which he voiced the parrot, Iago.
He appeared on countless TV series, lending his voice, as well as comedic acting, in SNL, Night Court, the animated Clerks series, Fairly OddParents, House of Mouse, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Family Guy, and so much more.
Gottfried was still touring as a stand-up comedian, which he had been doing since he was 15 years old. He leaves behind a family, friends, and many fans. The statement on his passing states that he died after battling a long illness, though it is not reported what that illness was.
