Actor Ray Liotta Passes Away at 67 Years Old
Ray Liotta, the fantastic and talented actor behind films such as Goodfellas, Narc, Field of Dreams, Cop Land, Heartbreakers, Blow, The Iceman, The Many Saints of Newark, The Place Beyond the Pines, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, and more, has passed away at the age of 67. He passed away in his sleep in the Dominican Republic.
The actor was there shooting the movie Dangerous Waters, which is one of a handful of upcoming projects the prolific actor had been working on this year. Some of the other upcoming film projects include Revenge and director Coralie Fargeat’s body horror movie The Substance.
This is a bit of a shock. I mean, it’s Ray freakin’ Liotta! I’ve enjoyed watching so many of his films, and it’s always been a joy to see him pop up in movies and TV shows. It’s sad that he’s passed away and that we won’t be seeing him in any other new projects, other than the ones he completed before he passed.
One of my all-time favorite movies that Liotta starred in was Goodfellas. He was just so damn good in that film! I also loved him in the role of Shoeless Joe Jackson in Field of Dreams, which is one of my all-time favorite films. He’s going to be missed.
Liotta leaves behind daughter Karsen and fiancée Jacy Nittolo. All of us here at GeekTyrant send our deepest condolences to Liotta’s family and friends.
