Actress Sandra Hüller Set to Make Cameo Appearance in AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY in Top Secret Role

Academy Award nominee Sandra Hüller (Anatomy of a Fall, Project Hail Mary) has signed on to make a cameo in Marvel’s upcoming blockbuster Avengers: Doomsday. News of Hüller’s top-secret role comes as directors Anthony and Joe Russo are in post-production on the project, ahead of its December 18th release date.

The superhero movie is already majorly packed with award-winning actors and massive movie stars, including Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Tom Hiddleston as Loki and Channing Tatum as Gambit, plus more Black Panther, Thunderbolts, Fantastic Four and X-Men actors.

The movie also features the much-anticipated returns of Chris Evans as Steve Rogers and Oscar winner Robert Downey Jr. as Victor von Doom, taking on the villainous role instead of Iron Man/Tony Stark.

Not much has been revealed about the plot for Avengers: Doomsday, except for the fact that Downey’s Doctor Doom represents the superheroes’ most dangerous foe yet.

Rumors about Hüller’s involvement began swirling a couple of weeks ago, with some fans speculating she could be tied to Downey’s Doom (perhaps his mother) or that she might play another of the Latverian Witches (who don the colorful robes Marvel displayed at this year’s Comic-Con).
