Adam McKay's Netflix Film DON'T LOOK UP Casts Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill, and More
Damn! Director Adam McKay (The Big Short, Vice) went out and got himself an insanely impressive ensemble cast of A-list actors for his upcoming Netflix film project, Don’t Look Up.
Jennifer Lawrence was already cast in the movie, and she will be joined by Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill, Himesh Patel, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Kid Cudi, Matthew Perry, Tomer Sisley, and Rob Morgan.
That’s one hell of a great cast! It’s one of the most impressive casts that has been gathered together for an original Netflix movie. I’m not surprised by it, though. Lots of actors want to work with McKay, and this film tells the kind of story that is attractive to actors like this.
The story follows ”two low-level astronomers who embark on a media tour to warn mankind of an approaching asteroid that will destroy Earth.”
McKay will write, direct, and co-produce along with Kevin Messick. Given the star power behind the project, I’m sure that Netflix will want to get this film out in theaters.
