Adam Sandler Has a New Netflix Film Project in The Works Titled DAN PAN
The new head writer on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Rebecca Drysdale, has written a feature film spec script that’s currently in development at Netflix. The name of the project is Dan Pan and according to Deadline, Adam Sandler is attached to star in the project.
Sandler and Netflix have been enjoying a lot of success together. The films that he has produced with the streaming service have done very well, so it makes sense that they would continue to work together. When previously talking about working with Sandler, Ted Sarandos, Netflix Chief Content Officer, said:
“Whether you know him as Sandman, the Water Boy, Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Nick Spitz or simply Adam, one thing is clear: our members can’t get enough of him. They love his stories and his humor, as we saw with Murder Mystery. So I could not be more excited to extend our partnership with Adam and the Happy Madison team and deliver more laughs around the world.”
There are no details on what story this upcoming film will tell or even how heavily involved Sandler is with the project. The other project he has in the works at Netflix is Hubie Halloween. This is the synopsis that was previously shared for that:
Good-natured but eccentric community volunteer Hubie Dubois (Sandler) finds himself at the center of a real murder case on Halloween night. Despite his devotion to his hometown of Salem, Massachusetts (and its legendary Halloween celebration), Hubie is a figure of mockery for kids and adults alike. But this year, something really is going bump in the night, and it’s up to Hubie to save Halloween.
Drysdale previously co-wrote the independent film Beck, and has also appeared on Orange Is The New Black, Arrested Development, and 30 Rock as an actress.
