Adam Sandler Is Set to Host SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE for the First Time
Adam Sandler is returning to the show that that helped catapult his career as an actor. I loved Saturday Night Live in the ‘90s. It has such a dream team cast of comedians, and when I was a teenager, Sandler was one of my favorites.
Well, for the first time ever, Sandler is coming back to SNL as its host! It’s weird to think that Sandler has never hosted SNL before. But now he’s doing it, and he’ll appear alongside musical guest Shawn Mendes. The episode is set to premiere on May 4th.
Executive producer Lorne Michaels said, “We are happy to welcome Adam back to SNL in what is sure to be a special night.”
It’s been a long time since I’ve watched SNL, but this is an episodes that I’ll definitely be tuning in for. It’ll be interesting to see if he brings back some of his old characters like Opera Man.
Sandler’s most recent project was a Netflix comedy special called 100% Fresh, and he has an upcoming Netflix film called Murder Mystery with Jennifer Aniston. Sandler has a strong relationship with Netflix and has been making all kinds of films that have been either hit or miss with audiences. It seems like Netflix is the perfect home for Sandler, though.
