Adam Sandler Set to Star in Netflix Original Film HUSTLE with LeBron James Producing

Adam Sandler has had a relationship with Netflix over the past few years that has brought us a couple of fun movies like last year’s Murder Mystery and the upcoming comedy Hubie Halloween. His next film in partnership with the streamer is called Hustle, and it is set to be produced by LeBron James. Jeremiah Zagar (We the Animals) is set to direct from a script by Taylor Materne and Will Fetters.

Here’s the synopsis:

Sandler plays an American basketball scout, who, after being unjustly fired, discovers a talented player abroad and decides to bring him to the U.S. to prove that they both have what it takes to make it in the NBA.

This sounds like a great film for Sandler, who is known for the comedic roles he usually plays. It’s nice to see him flex his dramatic acting chops and step into some more substantial roles. I always loved him in Punch Drunk Love and Reign Over Me, and he really gave an incredible performance in last year’s Uncut Gems. This sounds like an inspirational story, and I’m excited to watch it.
