Adam Savage Builds a Killer EVIL DEAD Necronomicon With the Help of the Original Creator
Adam Savage is at it again, diving deep into the world of practical effects and horror nostalgia with a wicked build of the Necronomicon from The Evil Dead.
Blending his passion for movie props, Savage teams up with Tom Sullivan, the original effects mastermind behind Sam Raimi’s cult horror classic.
Sullivan, who handled the special makeup effects, stop-motion, and the creation of the original Necronomicon, joins Savage in the shop and brings along one of the actual molds used for the book's grotesque skin-like cover.
As they bring the iconic prop to life, the two nerd out over horror movies, DIY special effects, and the gruesome magic that made The Evil Dead such a memorable fright fest.
Sullivan also digs into the eerie and dark origins of what the original Necronomicon design.
