Adam Savage Explores The Golden EVA Spacesuit From Danny Boyle's Sci-Fi Film SUNSHINE

In a recent video posted on Tested, Adam Savage gets a close-up look at the golden EVA space suit from Danny Boyle’s 2007 sci-fi film Sunshine. I always thought that this was a really cool and unique design for a spacesuit and it’s pretty sweet to get more of an up-close look at it as Savage explores it and points out all of the details.

The final spacesuit Adam checks out from Propstore CEO Stephen Lane's collection is the massive golden EVA suit from Danny Boyle's Sunshine. The hulking space suit's distinct golden finish and low-visibility funnel-shaped helmets were meant to protect the characters from solar radiation, and enhanced the sense of claustrophobia for its wearer. Adam and Stephen talk about the challenges of performing in a costume like this and show off details never seen on screen.
