Adam Savage had the opportunity to visit the Propstore recently to check out a bunch of cool props from some of our favorite films. In this video from Tested, Savage gets an up-close look at the Norris Spider-Head from The Thing. This is one of the most terrifying creature effects in the film!
When still remember the feeling of absolute fear I felt when I first saw this thing when I watched this movie as a kid. The chills that it sent down my spine were a new feeling of fear for me. Damn… this movie is great! The video came with the following note:
Film fans will recognize this creature from the 1982 science fiction horror classic The Thing! The Norris Spider-Head is undoubtedly one of the film's most memorable and terrifying creature effects, and we check out a hyper realistic model created by Rob Bottin's effects team during the film's production. An incredible prop from one of our favorite films!
