Adam Savage Shows Off The Original Jet Pack Prop From THE ROCKETEER

In a new episode of Tested, Adam Savage visits the Prop Store again and this time he takes a look at and shows off the original stunt jet pack from the classic 1991 film, The Rocketeer! Damn… I loved the movie! As a kid that was one of the freakin’ coolest movies ever and, of course, I wanted a jet pack of my own! The video came along with the following description:

Not only is this a chance to examine a real prop from the fan-favorite adventure film, the stunt pack here has curious features in its construction that make it unlike the hero prop. Adam helps Prop Store consider how this prop could have been used by production for the film's special effects shots.

It’s pretty awesome that this Prop Store exists to acquire and take care of these classic movie props. I’d love to go there myself one day and take a tour to see some of this stuff! In the meantime, I’ll just enjoy watching Adam Savage get to do it.
