Adam Scott Joins Sony's Upcoming Marvel Film MADAME WEB
Parks and Recreation and Severance actor Adam Scott is the latest actor to join Sony’s upcoming Marvel film project Madame Web. There’s no information on who he’ll play in the film, but he joins Dakota Johnson, Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced, Emma Roberts, and Tahar Rahim.
I like Adam Scott and the characters he plays, and it’ll be interesting to see what character he ends up taking on in the film.
The film is said to be an origin story for Madame Web, “a clairvoyant whose psychic abilities allow her to see within the spider world itself.” In the comics, Madame Web is “an elderly blind woman suffering from a chronic neuromuscular disease that makes it difficult to move and breathe, and as such, she’s connected to a life support system that looks like a spider web. The clairvoyant character has precognitive abilities and once helped Spider-Man find a kidnap victim.”
S.J. Clarkson (Jessica Jones and The Defenders) is directing the movie from a script by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless. They previously wrote Morbius, but hopefully, Madame Web doesn’t turn out to be the same kind of dumpster fire.
Scott is just coming off the series Severance, for which he just earned an Emmy nomination for Best Actor in a drama series.
