ADAPTABLE NPCS is a Brilliant Supplement to Help DMs Save Time in Prep

A couple of months ago, I saw the unofficial supplement Adaptable NPCs on the DMs Guild and it looked like a great tool. Then, more recently, Trevor Armstrong reached out to me and asked me to look at the supplement in full. I was more than happy to oblige, and I love this.

There are 70 NPC statblocks that can be easily used for friends and foes of your Dungeons & Dragons party. Even if you don’t need more NPC tools, the artwork alone is amazing. Combine that with the fact that you get 8 short adventures, complete with maps and tokens for all 70 NPCs, and you’re getting a lot. These maps and tokens can be printed out or used via a digital platform such as Roll20.

Adaptable NPCs is an incredible supplement that a DM should at the very least consider getting to help his prep time go smoother. It is so easy to change just a couple of insignificant features such as alignment in order to get the exact NPC you need for that one part of your story.

If you’re one of my players, you should know that I’ll be using some of these guys in my campaigns. You can pick up Adaptable NPCs in PDF form over at DMs Guild with a print version on its way as well.
