Additional Details on Batman in SUICIDE SQUAD and the Villains He’ll Interact With
One of the things that I’m most curious about seeing in Suicide Squad is how exactly Ben Affleck's Batman will fit into the story. We’ve seen a good amount of footage of him in the trailers for the film, and there’s been a lot of information being revealed about his involvement and how he will have a larger role in the film than we originally expected. It’s been said that he will have just the right amount of screen time and that there is going to be some time jumping from the past to the present.
Thanks to Batman-News, we have some new information about the villains that Batman will actually interact with in the film. We know that he will have an action-packed sequence involving The Joker and Harley Quinn. We’ve seen parts of the chase sequence from that in the trailers. The site reports that there won’t be much interaction with Jared Leto’s Joker in this scene. Apparently, most of that scene will show him interacting with Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn. As we have seen in the trailer, Joker's car plunges into a lake, and Batman pulls Harley out of it safely.
They also report that Batman will have a couple of scenes with Will Smith’s Deadshot. They don’t exactly say what the scene will entail, but they do say it one will be an emotional scene and the other will be a flashback.
Smith previously teased his character’s interaction with Batman saying, "The Bat does cross my path... and, ya know, it's not completely pleasant.” I don’t imagine it would be! It’s cool to see that the two might have more than one scene together, though.
It doesn’t sound like we will see Batman crossing paths with all of the villains in the movie, but so far it looks like we’ll see him come in contact with Joker, Harley Quinn, and Deadshot, and Killer Croc is another character that has been teased in the past.
