Adorable Trailer for The IMAX Documentary PANDAS

Pandas are cute in my opinion. One of the oldest viral videos I can remember is the baby panda scaring the crap out of its mother by sneezing. Combine pandas and an IMAX documentary, and I think you’ve got a winning combination. Give that documentary a bit of a story, you’ve got success. It also won’t hurt that Kristen Bell from Frozen and The Good Place will be the narrator. Just tell the kids that Anna is going to tell them about pandas. That’s sure to get them to pay attention for a little bit, right? As I mentioned, this documentary will have a bit of a story:

At Chengdu Panda Base in China, scientists are taking the captive breeding program to the next level and preparing captive-born cubs for the wild. This film follows one such researcher, whose passion leads her to initiate a new technique inspired by a black bear rehabilitator in rural New Hampshire. What starts as a cross-cultural collaboration becomes a life-changing journey for one special panda named Qian Qian. The film, captured with IMAX cameras, follows Qian Qian on an exciting new adventure into the mountains of Sichuan as she experiences nature for the first time and discovers her wild side.

That sounds pretty cool to me. I’m genuinely interested to see how things play out for Qian Qian. Pandas will be in select IMAX and IMAX 3D theaters April 6, 2018.
