AERONAUTS Director Tom Harper Will Direct FOREVER Adaptation Based on 1939 Novel

Tom Harper, known for writing and directing the mini-series War & Peace, as well as the film The Aeronauts, is taking on a new project directing the film Forever, based on the 1935 romance novel by Mildred Cram.

The story was written and quickly picked up by MGM, but was never made into a movie. Cram also wrote the story Love Affair, which was made into the three classic films, two of the same name, and one the famed An Affair to Remember.

The story of Forever “focuses on two lovers from the past who are reincarnated in the modern world.” This is actually a very cool idea that I’ve never heard of before, and I know people are happy to see a new idea come out of Hollywood. It’s too bad the film didn’t get made in the author’s lifetime, but I like the story idea, and I think it will make a good film as long as the script and acting is good.

Does this sound like a movie you would like?
