After Over a Decade, Disney and McDonalds Are Teaming Up Again For Movie Themed Happy Meals

From 1996 to 2006 Disney and McDonalds had a partnership with each other where Disney promoted their films through Happy Meals. I'm sure a lot of you have memories of all kinds of little cool Disney toys that came with the food.

Well, Disney and McDonalds are teaming up again. Only this time, Disney owns Pixar, Lucasfilm, and Marvel, which means the toys are going to be a lot cooler!

According to USA Today, the cross-promotional campaign starts in June, when Happy Meals will begin to include toys for Pixar's The Incredibles 2. That will be followed by a promotion for Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2.

To close the deal, McDonald's had to agree to meet Disney's nutrition guidelines, promising Happy Meals will favor fruits, vegetables and whole grains, among others, while limiting calorie, salt and sugars.

There's no word on how long this new partnership will run for, but I imagine it will be for several years to come.
