AGATHA ALL ALONG Creator Talks About Surprising End of the Series and There's More to Explore
Agatha All Along finished just before Halloween, giving us an open-ended wrap up to the series that hinted we have not seen the last of Billy (Joe Locke). Spoilers ahead if you haven’t finished watching the series yet.
As Billy set off in his search for his brother Tommy, with the ghost of Agatha (Kathryn Hahn) in tow. We also likely haven’t seen the last of Aubrey Plaza as Death, or Sasheer Zamata as Jennifer Kale.
When talking about the surprising ending, which saw Agatha give up her life in exchange for Tommy’s, the show’s creator, Jac Schaeffer, told Marvel's official website:
"It wasn’t about killing off the character. It was about the evolution of this character: What is her next phase? I still feel like there’s more road to explore with Agatha as a ghost. Get ready."
Schaeffer previously told Entertainment Weekly: "I can't speak to the direct hand-off to the Vision show. But I think that people are meant to expect more of Billy and Agatha somewhere in the MCU.
“I don't know what's going on with that show, and I just wish them well. I love Paul Bettany so deeply, and I can't wait to see what they do."
I am also excited for the future of these characters. WandaVision and Agatha All Along have been my favorite shows in the MCU, and I can’t wait to see what’s in Vision’s future, as well as Agatha and Billy. How would you like to see them utilized in Marvel moving forward?
