AGATHA: COVEN OF CHAOS Actress Aubrey Plaza Has Seemingly Let a New Marvel Project Slip
Agatha: Coven of Chaos is the next chapter heading our way from the mystical corner of the Marvel universe. What started as a plot within the first MCU/Disney+ series, WandaVision, will now explore the character Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn), a witch who once disguised herself as Wanda Maximoff’s nosy neighbor, Agnes. On WandaVision, Agatha became obsessed with harnessing “chaos magic” from Wanda — who is also known as the Scarlet Witch.
Marvel has kept the plot of the show quiet, but the last time we got to see Agatha, the witch lost a fight to Wanda Maximoff. Then Agatha ended up trapped in her Agnes persona in Westview. We imagine the show will reveal to us how Agatha breaks out of the spell she’s under, and will follow her and her coven, including Aubrey Plaza, Sasheer Zamata, and Patti LuPone, on their next adventure.
But will this series lead the way to a whole new world of witchcraft? Possibly…
Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation) recently posted a photo to her Instagram stories, which features a director’s chair that reads: “Marvel Studios” “The Darkhold Diaries.”
The Darkhold “is an ancient book of occultist lore, said to give its greatest devotees control over the black arts. The Darkhold’s every spell invites terror—it is of a demonic god borne.” It’s the book featured in both WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, helping Wanda try to get her kids back. It sounds like we will be learning a whole lot more about it pretty soon!
Check out the photo below, and let us know what you think this series The Darkhold Diaries will entail.
