AHSOKA Characters Nightsister Klothow and Captain Enoch Are Both Played By Sci-Fi Veteran Actors
One fun aspect of the Star Wars universe is the surprise actors who pop up in the movies and shows because they just want to be a part of the lore in some way. The series Ahsoka has been no different, and this week’s episode brought us a fun little treat in the form of two characters you may or may not have recognized. The episode, titled “Part Six: Far, Far Away,” introduced us to Nightsister Klothow and the other Witches of Dathomir on Peridea, as well as the army of night troopers led by Captain Enoch.
There characters were played by sci-fi veterans Claudia Black and Wes Chatham, as Klothow and Enoch, respectively.
/Film reports that Black is known for playing Aeryn Sun in "Farscape," the hit '90s-born sci-fi series. She would go on to play Vala Mal Doran on "Stargate SG-1", and has since shown up for multi-episode stints on genre shows as varied as "Rick and Morty," "Roswell, New Mexico," and "The Nevers." Black is also a rather prolific video game voice actor, having voiced Chloe Frazer in the "Uncharted" series and Admiral Daro'Xen vas Moreh in the "Mass Effect" franchise.
Chatham played Amos Burton across all six seasons of "The Expanse," prior to his turn on "Ahsoka." He also had a small role as the rebel cameraman Castor in the "Hunger Games" movies and briefly appeared as a SWAT agent in Christopher Nolan's "Tenet." With Thrawn's old bodyguard and go-to assassin Rukh no longer in the picture, after his demise on "Rebels," that leaves a nice opening for Enoch to fill in the remaining episodes of "Ahsoka" and potentially beyond.
It's possible that both Klothow and Enoch will have substantial roles to play in "Ahsoka" creator Dave Filoni's re-imagining of the Legends/Expanded Universe Thrawn trilogy arc, starting with their brief introductions in "Far, Far Away." If they don’t and it’s just a one-off, it's just fun to see yet another pair of sci-fi actors getting a chance to join the Star Wars universe.
New episodes of "Ahsoka" drop Tuesdays at 9:00 PM EST on Disney+.
