AHSOKA Creator Dave Filoni Teases STAR WARS: REBELS Characters Transitioning to Live-Action Series
Dave Filoni is hard at work creating content within the Star Wars universe. He worked on the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and continued that momentum creating Star Wars: Rebels, and now, after his work on The Mandalorian, he is pushing his creations into another live-action project with his upcoming Ahsoka series at Disney+.
The series will star Rosario Dawson, who portrayed the character Ahsoka Tano on The Mandalorian, and while this is her story, fans are wondering if she will joined by other characters who accompanied her in the animated shows she appeared in previously. Filoni revealed to The Wrap that bringing animated characters into live-action isn't his priority, but he did tease more to come in Ahsoka.
"At the end of the day, I've been very happy with the ones that have gone over," Filoni said of the characters who have moved from animation to live-action. "There may or may not be more in Ahsoka, if that's your thing. If you're excited about that, I'm just saying that one might have a few more, which makes sense, by the way. As you know, I wrote it. You can't fault me there."
We already know that live-action version of the character Ezra Bridger from Star Wars: Rebels will be played by Eman Esfandi, Natasha Liu Bordizzo will play Sabine Wren, and Hera Syndulla will also be included in the series.
It will be interesting to see who else Filoni brings in to surprise us. Ahsoka is set to hit Disney+ later this year. Are you looking forward to it?
