AHSOKA Star Eman Esfandi Opens Up About Playing The Live-Action Version of Ezra Bridger

A video was recently released for Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: Ahsoka and it features co-star Eman Esfandi opening up for the first time about playing the live-action role of fan-favorite Star Wars character Ezra Bridger.

Ezra Bridger was first introduced to the Star Wars universe in Star Wars Rebels, and he had quite the epic story arc that saw him grow from kind of an annoying sidekick character to a mature and powerful fan-favorite Jedi.

When fans get to reconnect with the character in Ahsoka, we see that he became confident and strong while exiled on Peridea. He didn’t get to see too much action in the series, but that will change as the story for Ahsoka and the rest of these stories continue.

When talking about Ezra, Esfandi said: "I take Ezra Bridger as a real person, and he's so smart, and he's so gifted. He's grown into himself a lot more. "He's become a much stronger Jedi, but even more so, he's become more of a family member amongst his team and crew of Rebels."

He went on to say: "I already felt so connected to Ezra and felt like he was there whenever I needed him. I just felt that inspiration, but yeah, Ezra, young kid, with a lot of heart."

I was personally hoping to see more from the character in the Ahsoka series and was a little disappointed with a few of the creative choices, but there’s still time to do some really cool things with the character before Dave Filoni brings this story to a close.
